TNUSRB (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board) conducts the exams for various posts in Tamil Nadu State. The examination to fill up the police posts for sub-inspector (Taluk, Armed Reserved and Tamil Nadu Special Police) is also conducted by the same board. Applications are invited (via Online Mode) from Men, Women and Transgender candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria.
The selection of the candidates for the exam happens through four stages-written examination, physical measurement test/endurance test/physical efficiency test, personal interview and special marks. The syllabus for the examination consists of General Science, History of India, Economics and Commerce, Political Science, Geography of India, logical analysis, numerical analysis and communication skills.

Every year, the Rajinikanth foundation will provide high-quality training to 100 students from the poor and marginalized strata of a society free of cost to help them compete in SI Examination conducted by the Tamil Nādu Uniform Services Board. The selection of the candidate for the training shall be based on their 10th and 12th std/Diploma and with the Entrance Exam based on the understanding of General Science, History of India, Economics and commerce, Political Science, Geography of India, Logical analysis, numerical analysis and communication skills. The selection of the 100 candidates will be based on the following criteria.
